cheap affordable parcel courier from UK to Australia, for 30kg and 25kg parcels?

I need to post some 25 to 30kg parcels to Australia in a few weeks time.
The cheapest quote I had so far was £95. . I have 10 parcels to send and £950 is a lot of money, but the company does not offer any discount. Other companies charge around £120, but offer good discounts for multiple parcels…..which also brings it down to abour £100 per parcel.
Does anybody know any companies charging less?

Any help will be appreciated

Hermes/ Parcelnet courier's lost two parcels & we are being slayed for it?

We ordered two items on two separate occations from the next directory the first item was a ps3 console and the other a ipod the ipod was sent back as no longer wanted it and the ps3 console was sent back because it just kept spinning discs so there for faulty so i arranged returns wit next on both occations and there courier came and lifted them from me.
Ordered another ps3 and all was fine.
However two months down the line either of the parcels have arrived back to next and they have asked for my proof of returns so i sent in the originals and kept photo copy’s. They finally credited our account with the items but a few days later took our credit limit down from nearly 4,000 to 0.00 I emailed them and asked why and got a reply to say we moniter all credit limits on a monthly basis and credit limits can be increased or decreased at any time to offer you the best credit facility. I thought ok no bother as it did not annoy us we did not order all the time and when we did it was items like a 300 pounds console table paid for sony home theatre kit 275 paid for a condenser dryer 250 pounds paid for standard lamp 80 pounds paid for. So we never really sent any thing back other than these two items.
I rang the courier and informed them and gave both parcel receipt numbers he told me do not worry both parcles where scanned into our depot and will be dispached to the the company soon and to hang onto my receipts.
But the parcles never arrived back to next.
We received a letter from next
to say not more items will be dispatched and to contact tem on right away so we did and where told because of the two items that had gone missing they were closing the account aft the balance of 36 pounds was paid i replied this was not our fault and to contact the courier and they said they did and they cannot be found i replied fine ok.
But is is not our fault we have signed dated receipts for both returns and they were scanned into there depot now all of a sudden there lost.
I have read up about this courier service and it seems i am not alone with items going missing.
My real question is can they do anything to us?
Thx

Parcel Courier

At some time in our lives, almost all of us have a requirement to employ the service of a parcel courier. There are many big brand household names in the courier industry that you would probably think of the moment you need a parcel delivery taken care of. These companies are worldwide courier brands and are names you can trust to deliver your parcel for you with care, and on time.

The only advice we would like to offer is before dealing with these companies directly, have a look and see who else you can use to do the same job at a lesser cost. There are hundreds of local courier companies you can deal with that would gladly take your parcel for you and have it delivered to its destination. You may well find many of these smaller courier companies are more cost effective than the big names as you don’t need to be sending parcels with them on a regular basis in the same way that you would need to if you wanted an account with the likes of DHL, Fedex, Parcel Force, TNT, DPD etc.

The other option is to look at using the services offered by courier resellers. This gives you the best of both worlds, a fantastic global service offered by an international brand, but at a much reduced price than if you actually went to them directly. Resellers are the answer to many people’s prayers who want a great parcel courier service without having to open an account with the companies directly, and who don’t want to pay the prices they charge for sending the odd parcel here and there. In fact, if you send less than 200 parcels a month, you will probably be better off using a reseller.

There are a few of them about on the Internet, and we have advertising on this site that will direct you to them so you can decide for yourself who is best to use.

International Parcels

So you are looking for a reliable courier company to take care of delivering your international parcels for you. Well, the first piece of advice we would offer you here is to make sure that whoever you use, be sure that your parcel delivery will be handled by an internationally recognised courier company such as DHL, Fedex, UPS etc. You can still book through a reseller if you wish which will reduce the cost dramatically, just make sure they use a decent company. Of course, the other advantage of using the courier reseller is that you don’t have to open an account and the online resellers have really nice, easy to use websites for you to book through 24 hours a day.

A good international parcels courier will send your packages to anywhere for you around the globe, be it to Australia, Thailand, Canada, Germany, France, Spain or anywhere else you need to send a parcel to. Look for a company that you can get in touch with easily, ideally having a free phone telephone number and one who offers you a good tracking service so you can keep up to date with exactly where in the world your parcel is.

We would also advise that you check the company’s terms and conditions before using their services. All courier companies will have a list of prohibited items; make sure you look to see if what you are sending is on their list. If it is, you can still send it; just don’t add any extra insurance as it will be a waste of your money. If your item is on the prohibited items list, then it won’t be insured.

So before you send your international parcels, be sure to do a little bit of research and feel comfortable with the company you use to handle your package for you.
